How does Goodcrete DPS work?
Goodcrete DPS penetrates below the surface and chemically reacts with the alkali
substances(Calcium Hydroxide Ca(OH) 2) and lime found in the
concrete. This reaction can be divided into two stages: First ,
within the capillaries of the concrete, it will create a silica gel
membrane and after the water of the silica gel membrane evaporates,
the silica gel membrane will solidify into a crystalline structure.
Second , through the reaction the solidifying crystal will get into
the capillaries and small cracks of concrete , permanently sealing
to improve its compactness yet allowing the concrete to
breathe.Over a period of time the silica gel membrane hydrates and
solidifies into a crystalline structure, increasing moisture vapor
emissions both on the positive or negative side.Using Goodcrete
DPS, the conctete can still breathe well.

Why use Goodcrete DPS?
The architects and engineers are aware of the rapid decay that can
occur to concrete and cementitious surfaces when they are not
properly waterproofed, preserved, treated and protected. Rain,
salt, oils, etc. entering the capillary pores of the concrete over
time causes extensive damage and long-term deterioration. These
pores act like tubes or canals that carry damaging substances, such
as moisture and salts below the surface (often through the entire
structure), which creates major deterioration problems to the
concrete structures. In cold climates freeze-thaw cycles speed up
this process even further. Often these construction oversights are
not recognized until the structures visibly appear to crumble and
disintegrate. Goodcrete DPS is a preventative measure against these
Instructions for the Application of Goodcrete DPS
Please read the following passages prior to use Goodcrete DPS.
All concrete surfaces to be treated with Goodcrete DPS must be
thoroughly cleaned. Paint, glue, oil, grease etc. have to be
removed, either by grinding or blasting or environmentally friendly
chemical stripping. 5-50oC is the ideal temperature for Goodcrete
treatment. Just apply the product using low-pressure sprayer, soft
brush or rubber rake. Depending on concrete surface absorption, 8
to 18 m2 / US Gallon should be applied. Do not allow Goodcrete DPS to remain in pools on the surface. These should be spread out with
a rake or brush. It is not wise to treat a concrete surface with Goodcrete DPS, if it is raining directly on the surface. It is perfectly all
right for the surface to be damp.
